            These are the subjects and content areas the students will be studying this week.  Please make sure that your child goes over these areas of study with

you. 

Virtue of the Month:  Perseverance 

Math: Multiplying Two Two-Digit Numbers, Division Word Problems with Remainders, Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions, Math Test on Thursday

History:  The 31^st State, Law and Order, The Magna Carta, A New Kind of Government  

Religion:  Sacraments of Service, A Family Wedding, Matrimony and Holy Orders, I Am The Vine, Called by God, Faith Summary

Science:  Continue Cold and Warm Fronts  

Language Arts/Writing:  Vocabulary Definitions, Synonyms and Antonyms, Match the Meaning, Word Associations, Continue Linking Verbs, Helping Verbs, Subject Verb Agreement, Spelling Test on Friday

Check Monday Envelope for:  Principal’s Newsletter and flyers from the office.  The Monday Envelope needs to be signed and returned to school by Wednesday.

No homework Tuesday due to field trip.

Math:  Sales Tax & Change Back, Area Part 2, Multiplying by Tens, Hundreds, and Thousands, Math Test on Thursday

History:  After The Gold Rush, Thomas Becket, Eleanor of Aquitaine  

Religion:  Holy Days of Obligation, Faith Summary, Annointing of the Sick, Prayers of Intercession

Science:  (Rescheduled from last week) Chapter 8 Test on Wednesday,

Begin Chapter 9 – Rain and Clouds, Cold and Warm Fronts  

Language Arts/Writing:  Vocabulary Definitions, Synonyms and Antonyms, Match the Meaning, Word Associations, Linking Verbs, Helping Verbs, Subject Verb Agreement, Comparing with More and Most, Spelling Test and Robinson Crusoe Test on Friday (No study guide)

Check Monday Envelope for:  Principal’s Newsletter and flyers from the office.  The Monday Envelope needs to be signed and returned to school by Wednesday.

The Science test that was scheduled for tomorrow the 14th has been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 20th.

History:  Gold Mining, Chapter 5 Review (Oh, California), Chapter 5 Test on Friday, Women in the Middle Ages, William the Conqueror     

Religion:  We Celebrate, Jesus Invites Us, God Provides, and Holy Days

Science:  Chapter 8 Review, Chapter 8 Test on Thursday  

Language Arts/Writing: Comparing with Adjectives, Listening to Directions, Supporting Your Opinion, Comparing with More and Most, Simple Tenses, Spelling Test on Friday.
