            These are the subjects and content areas the students will be studying this

next week.  Please make sure that your child goes over these areas of study with

you. 

Virtue of the Month:  Respect and Responsibility

Math:  Missing Numbers in Subtraction, Comparing Numbers, Adding Three Digit Numbers, Some and Some More Problems Part 2, Subtracting with Regrouping

Geography:  California Resources, Unit Test on Maps this Tuesday

History:  African Kingdoms – The Geographic Settings, The Kingdom of Kush and Aksum

Religion:  Unit 1 Session 4 – The Fruits of the Holy Spirit, Examination of Conscience, Making Good Choices, A Helping Hand

Science:  Review Unit on Moving Crust, Test on Wednesday

Language Arts:  More on Nouns and Proper Nouns, Similes, Singular and Plural Nouns  Writing:  Expanding Sentences, Trimming Long Sentences     Reading:  Continue Reading/Discussing Pollyanna, Focusing on Characters and Plot, Focusing on Literary Elements and Devices

Check Monday Envelope for:  Principal’s Newsletter and flyers from the office.  The Monday Envelope needs to be signed and returned to school by Wednesday.

Other:

4^th Grade P.E. will be on Tuesdays and Fridays
