Fourth Grade Curriculum Update

These are the subjects and content areas the students will be studying this
next week.  Please make sure that your child goes over these areas of study with
you.

Virtue of the Month:  Respect and Responsibility

Math: Review of Addition, Missing Addends Part 1, Missing Addends Part 2, Sequences, Digits

Geography:  Using Maps, Measuring Distance on a Map, Latitude and Longitude, Where on Earth is California, California Regions

History:  Begin Unit on Islam - The Pillars of Islam, The Man Muhammad

Religion:  Unit 1 Session 1 - God Creates the World

Science:  Geology -The Earth and its Changes, The Earth’s Layers, Movement of Plates

Language Arts:  Review Common and Proper Nouns   Writing:  Review The Writing Process   Reading:  Begin reading Pollyanna, Focusing on Characters and Plot, Focusing on Literary Elements and Devices

Check Monday Envelope for:  Principal’s Newsletter and flyers from the office.  The Monday Envelope needs to be signed and returned to school by Wednesday.
