Fourth Grade Curriculum Update

            These are the subjects and content areas the students will be studying this

next week.  Please make sure that your child goes over these areas of study with

you. 

Virtue of the Month:  Self Control & Self Discipline

Math:  Reading Scales, Reading Time From a Clock, Reading a Centimeter Scale, Triangles, Rectangles, Squares, and Circles, Reading Whole Numbers to the Nearest Ten, Math Test on Thursday

Geography:  Mountains as Barriers, Making the Most of Mountains

History:  Trans-Sahara Trade, Ghana Land of Gold

Religion:  Unit 2 Session 1 – The New Commandment, Help From the Holy Spirit, Mass

Science:  River of Ice, Chapter Review

Language Arts:  More with Singular and Possessive Nouns   Writing:  Revision  Reading:  Continue Reading/Discussing Pollyanna, Focusing on Characters and Plot, Focusing on Literary Elements and Devices

Check Monday Envelope for:  Principal’s Newsletter and flyers from the office.  The Monday Envelope needs to be signed and returned to school by Wednesday.

Other:

The student Map Project is due this Friday the 12^th.
